What we will not do
- Lock basic safety features behind a higher plan

- “70% off, today only” timers
- Unlock anything from a payment page alone — only a verified payment from Stripe does that
Payments will go through Stripe. Card details never reach our servers.
Pricing questions
Why is there no free plan?
Running the dashboard, alert delivery and support costs money every month, and a free tier with everything useful in it would mostly produce support tickets. The 7-day trial is there so you can decide with a real server.
Why no lifetime licence?
The web dashboard, alerts and updates keep costing money after you pay. A lifetime price would either be too high or not cover it. If we ever ship a local-only edition without the cloud part, that one could have a one-time price.
Do I need a card for the trial?
No. An account and a verified email address are enough.
What happens when the trial ends?
RainServer switches to read-only. You still see the status, but cleanup and fixes are locked until you choose a plan. Your history is kept for a short while so you do not lose it when you upgrade.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
I replaced my VPS. Do I lose a server slot?
No. You will be able to move a licence to a new server yourself, without writing to support.
Are these the final prices?
They are the planned prices. We will confirm them, and how VAT is shown, before the first paid release.
Want to try it on a real server?
We are looking for a small group of people who run their own Linux servers to try the first builds and tell us what is wrong with them. Tell us how many servers you run and which distro. That is all we need.
