Where drivers come from
Windows Update (Microsoft) first. Next, the official driver packs of Dell, HP and Lenovo for their own machines, and NVIDIA's own driver service for GeForce graphics — from current cards back to Windows XP-era ones, 32-bit and 64-bit. For every other maker (AMD, Intel, Realtek, ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ASRock, Acer and more) Rain Driver opens that maker's official download page prepared for your PC. Every download is checked before it is used, and Rain Driver never downloads from third-party driver-pack websites and never hosts drivers itself.

Questions
Is it the same as Rain Cleaner?
No. Rain Cleaner looks after the whole PC. Rain Driver is a separate program focused only on drivers.
Does it work on 32-bit Windows?
Yes. There is a 32-bit edition of Rain Driver, and on a 32-bit Windows it finds, downloads and installs the 32-bit drivers that match your PC — which is what most hardware from the 2000s needs. A 32-bit driver cannot be used on 64-bit Windows, so Rain Driver always picks the one that matches your system.
How old can the hardware be?
We aim for hardware from around the year 2000 up to today. Rain Driver itself runs on Windows 10 and 11 (32-bit and 64-bit); very old unsigned drivers cannot be loaded by 64-bit Windows, and where no compatible driver exists Rain Driver tells you so honestly.
Will it install drivers automatically?
Only when you ask. Every change is preceded by a restore point and a copy of your current driver.
Is Rain AI free?
It is included with the Lifetime plan. With Monthly or Yearly you can add it for €4.99 per month and cancel any time.
What does Rain AI send?
Only a short summary: your Windows version, and for the drivers in question their name, maker, version, date and hardware ID. Never files, logs, your name, serial numbers or e-mail. Rain AI cannot change anything on your PC.
